While Mother’s Day was officially yesterday, I think Moms everywhere deserve to be appreciated everyday, since being a Mom is a daily “job.” Growing up, I remember how much I loved my Mom as well as how awesome I thought she was. She was able to cook, clean, work out of the home and still be home after we got out of school for the day. I really do wish I had told her how much I appreciated her more often when I was a child, but at least I can tell her know that I am a Mom myself. I can see the job of being a Mom through totally new eyes and realize how much a Mom gives of herself for the sake of her children. One of the greatest gifts my Mother gave to me was the gift of loving all creatures, great and small. I am a huge animal lover and feel so blessed each day to share my space with animals whom I truly love. We always had pets growing up and I remember how much my Mother cared for all of them and how much her heart broke when she had to say goodbye to them. As a child, I never looked at this shared appreciation for animals as a gift, but as an adult, I see all those that don’t appreciate animals and feel so sorry for them. My Mom gave me the gift of learning to love all creatures and that is a priceless.
To me, my Mom is the Mom of the Year every year. She does the very best she can and has such a loving heart. As an adult, I truly value the relationship I am able to have with my Mom and treasure the time we get to spend together. It has been very hard for me to be so far apart from her after our move last year, but thanks to my cell phone, I can at least talk to her whenever I want ♥ So to you Mom….Thank You for Everything!

“To help cheer on Team Canada at the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games, Pampers has teamed up with Canadian Olympic Games Bronze medalist and new mother, Priscilla Lopes-Schliep and her baby Nataliya to launch “O Canada, Baby” – the first version of the national anthem performed entirely by little athletes; babies!”
I cannot tell you how excited I was to get to participate in this fantastic Pampers Canada Campaign! My participation included making a video of my Daughter, who is age 2, singing and dancing, that was submitted to Pampers Canada! Now that the campaign has gone live on the Pampers Canada Facebook Page, you can also share your Team Canada pride by submitting a video of your baby that could become part of the first cut of the national anthem performed entirely by babies!
“To further cheer on Team Canada, new Limited Edition “Go Canada Go!” Pampers Olympic Games packaging is available featuring 2x Gifts to Grow points. Parents can redeem Pampers Gifts to Grow points for HBC Team Canada baby gear to get their babies ready for the Olympic Games. When it comes to products for my children, I am always looking for toys that are environmentally responsible and leave as small a paw print as possible. So when I was approached by Cate & Levi to review a hand puppet, I was more than happy to do so! The best part is that every item sold from Cate & Levi is handmade in Canada from all natural and reclaimed materials! For me, this means that my children get to enjoy a fabulously unique toy and I know that the environment doesn’t suffer because of it!
Since my children love playing with their doctor’s kit, I chose the Nurse Puppet to add to their playtime fun. When the puppet arrived, my Daughter immediately fell in love with it. I loved how unique and fun the nurse looks, as well as the fact that the puppet is soft and offers hours of fun. My Daughter enjoys playing the nurse while my Son pretends to be the doctor. I am not sure how much my cats appreciate playing the patients, but I can tell you that they lay there politely as both the “nurse” and the ”doctor” look them over and offer a diagnosis that usually involves a pretend shot and listening to their fur {hehe}.
With fantastic products that include Change Purses, Backpack Buddies, Wall Art and more, Cate & Levi creates truly environmentally concious products that can be appreciated at any age. Best of all, they ship to both the US and within Canada, so no one has to miss out on these fantastic creations! I would also definitely check out the Purse Pals if you have a little one in your life that loves to carry around their favorite things. Even as an adult, I would absolutely love to get the Butterfly Purse Pal!

Thanks to Entertainmentone, I got the fun opportunity to review the Stella and Sam: Follow Me DVD! The DVD contains 6 adorable episodes and 2 bonus episodes that are based on the best-selling novels of Marie-Louise Gay. I have to say that I immediately fell in love with the animation style. My children eagerly watched each episode and have watched them several times since our initial review. They especially enjoyed the episode “Meadow Melody” where Stella and Sam perform music for the sheep in the meadow. Canadian families will definitely find this DVD a must-have for their preschooler!
“Independent, brave, adventurous Stella, has somethign to say about everything – the best kind of big sister …. especially when your name is Sam and you’re eager to explore the world and learn all that it has to offer! When Stella explains things to her little brother, what she says can be plausible or preposterous. And whatever it is she says, you can be certain that it will make you smile. Watch as Stella, the irresponsible redhead, and her slightly apprehensive little brother Sam take on the wonders of the world and explore the endearing, intimate scenes of young childhood.”
