Best Ever Butterscotch Blondies

Trying something new in the kitchen is always an adventure. For me, that often means baking a new dessert. On a recent baking trip, I ended up purchasing butterscotch chips. I don’t recall ever using butterscotch chips in a recipe, but I decided it was time that I gave it a try.

Thankfully, the package featured a butterscotch blondies recipe that resulted in what I would say to be the best ever butterscotch blondies. The whole batch didn’t even last a day in my kitchen. Between myself, my husband and the kids, those blondies went like hot cakes!
  Butterscotch Blondies

You will need:

3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 11 x 7 pan.

Mix together brown sugar, vanilla and butter. Add in egg and mix until combined. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Pour in 1 and 1/2 cups butterscotch chips.

Press dough evenly into greased pan and top with additional butterscotch chips.

Cook for 20 minutes!
