Right now, the local stores are gearing up for Easter. It is a time filled with chocolate, eggs, baskets and hopefully a fuzzy bunny or two. Yet, how often does your cat get to enjoy this fabulous holiday?

After all, cats enjoy special goodies too, especially when those goodies include things they can eat and play with.  Spice the basket up with some awesome kitty goodness and you have the Ultimate Guide to Creating an Easter Basket for Your Cat!

This Ultimate Guide to Creating an Easter Basket for Your Cat is the perfect holiday treat. Customize it anytime!

Choose your basket/eggs and grass – These are your staples. They are what give the Easter experience that extra special charm. You want to go with a basket and eggs that are large enough to hold all the Easter goodies. The basket can later double as a great place to store your cat’s toys and the eggs can be year-round fun for your cat!

Obviously, Easter grass is not something for your cat to play with or eat, so use it sparingly and remove it immediately once your cat starts checking out their basket!

Pick the Easter goodies – You know your cat better than anyone, so it makes perfect sense that you take your time choosing the Easter toys wisely. For my cats, I went with toys they could bat around and chew. My cats range in age from 6 months to 12 years, so variety is a must.

I also threw in their favourite catnip-infused wool toys as well as catnip mice. My ginger gentleman, Jasper, can spend an hour just licking his favourite wool toy, so these are definitely a must!

Add the delicious eats – No Easter basket is complete without delicious treats and eats! I feed my cats kibble as well as wet food daily. The combination is super important to cat health. With 10 cats to satisfy, I love a diverse flavor variety that every cat will appreciate.

For this particular basket, I went with kibble and cans. I went with duck because it isn’t something my cats normally get to enjoy, which makes it perfect! Plus, it is designed for all life stages, which is ideal for 10 cats of various ages!
